Welcome to the emissions_downscaling wiki!
These routines take IAM model emissions data in IAMAC spreadsheet format and does two things:
- Downscale from native IAM regions to country level
- Map those country level emissions to a global, spatial grid, and export those into netCDF files in CMIP6 standard format.
The user can specify to run just downscaling, or downscaling & gridding. See Running the system for a quick guide to getting started. See the downscaling methodology page for further details on the methodology.
The gridding routine is based on the historical griding routines used in CEDS Module G.
