GEdit Plugin to calculate readability index

news: updated for gedit 3.12+ I left the previous version for legacy reasons

use:

  • copy the .plugin and the .py file into $HOME/.local/share/gedit/plugins/
  • load the plugin via the "preferences" menu
  • in gedit you will find a new item in the "Tools" menu
  • once activated, the plugin will calculate the readability index with the 'Gulpease' formula, specific for italian language: http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indice_Gulpease
