Shepherd of Random Numbers
My name is Anders Hoff. I am a developer and generative artist living in Oslo, Norway. I like mathematics, algorithms, and solving problems.
I have an MSc in numerical mathematics from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (https://ntnu.no).
Currently I work as a consultant, but I am always looking for an interesting opportunity to make better use of my skills related to mathematics and generative algorithms.
Given the right opportunity I am willing to move pretty much anywhere.
If you would like to see some of my work, I recommend this illustrated essay on generative algorithms: http://inconvergent.net/generative/. It has loads of GIFs, so there is a good chance you will enjoy it!
I have also written some illustrated guides to generative art methods, the first one can be seen at http://inconvergent.net/shepherding-random-numbers/.
My website is at http://inconvergent.net.
Or you can have a look at my Ello account: https://ello.co/inconvergent.
Finally, I shepherd some twitter bots. Here is a list: https://twitter.com/inconvergent/lists/my-bots.
Exhibitions and other Work
4th - 10th of July 2016 — Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition 2016: Eight works were exhibited at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition in London, along with works of other artists. More details at: https://royalsociety.org/events/2016/07/meristematic/.

Technologies and Tools
I am very good at:
- Python/Cython (numpy, scipy, matplotlib, cairo, pycuda, sklearn, )
In addition I am decent at:
Recently I've started learning:
- Common Lisp (some results at https://twitter.com/sandpaintbot)
This list isn't exactly exhaustive, it is more of a reflection of what I like to work with.
