We only have the option to notify registered participants and a custom list of emails. Adding a new "Speakers" option in addition to "Participants" would be useful since especially informal meetings might not even bother with maintaining a list of participants.
Implementing this would be as simple as adding the new option (db column, form) and then including the speakers of all contributions and subcontributions of the event in the all_recipients property of EventReminder.
