Fix for image creation bug
Small hotfix.
First version with write support
Implemented write support.
Though it got some testing, including everyday use by the author for several weeks, use it cautiously and make backups!
- Supports reading, writing, and deleting files and directories, both on single-partition (floppy-like) and multi-partition images.
- Can create images, including multi-partitioned images. Extended partition creation is not yet supported.
- In the pack dialog, configuration for both the new images and the plugin in general was added.
- FLTK is used for this dialog, so the recommended binaries for general use are linked to it.
- Though pop-up dialogs can be disabled for less annoyance.
- Variants without FLTK are still supported (though they require manual editing of the ini-file to customize image creation), but they are not thoroughly tested and are not recommended.
- Read-only files are deleted during move operations without confirmation.
Provided binaries for both x86 and x86-64 Total Commander:
- fatimg.zip -- recommended, release build with FLTK,
- fatimg_rel_nofltk.zip -- release build without FLTK, for those requiring minimal size of the plugin,
- fatimg_dbg_fltk.zip -- debug version with FLTK.
More details, including known limitations and future plans, are in the readme.
First stable released
First stable (I hope) release of the read-only edition. Only one small fix of logging and cosmetic cleanup of the project from the time of the previous beta.
Release version compiled without FLTK, debug -- with static FLTK.
v1.00-beta.last
Generally, small improvements here and there. If nothing serious surfaces, it will be the last pre-release.
- Highly improved stability, especially for the damaged images.
- Added two related options to the config.
- Size and speed optimizations.
- Detects, but does not proceed on GPT images.
Release version compiled without FLTK, debug -- with static FLTK.
v1.00-beta
- Implemented support for MBR-based partitioned disks.
- Basic support for the Unicode -- UCS-16 long filenames are converted to the current locale.
- Added support for the Ctrl-PgDn archive inspecting and background extraction.
- Added optional (and not recommended for general use) dialogs using FLTK.
- Added configuration files support.
- Extensive logging and debugging messages.
- Supports OS/2 "EA DATA. SF" EA file detection. Extended attributes are not yet parsed.
Release version compiled without FLTK, debug -- with static FLKT.
Version 0.995 -- much extended
- Added FAT16, FAT32, VFAT support.
- Added support for the DOS 1.xx images without BPB.
- Added search for the boot sector.
FAT images wcx plugin for the Total Commander, 64 and 32-bits versions.
Read-only yet. Supports FAT12 only, but rather liberal -- to work with a wide spectrum of old images.
