This repository demonstrates how to compile an http4s application to a native executable using GraalVM's Native Image. The accompanying blog post has all the details.
To quickly get going:
-
Having installed GraalVM Native Image run the
nativeImageLocal
task to generate an executable. -
Optionally, run
startup-benchmark.sh
andsustained-benchmark.sh
to benchmark against the JVM, andanalysis.py
to generate graphs.
To build a Linux executable:
- Build the Docker image in the
docker
directory
cd docker
docker build -t inner-product/graalvm-native-image .
- Run the
nativeImage
task from sbt. The result will be a Linux executable.
