Rust can support targeting and debugging on STM32 ARM microcontrollers via OpenOCD.

CLion can support targeting and debugging on STM32 ARM microcontrollers with the OpenOCD CLion plugin. But this doesn't work with Rust.

It would be very powerful if Intellij Rust / CLion could target these embedded devices using Rust.

The roadmap for CLion 2019.1 lists STM32 microcontroller integration.

Perhaps STM32 features could be a CLion-only feature for IntelliJ Rust similar to debugger support?
