As @klonuo reported on ipython-user, we should recognise .pyd files (dll format Python modules on Windows) as binary files, and not attempt to display full source from them if the user does mymod??.
@klonuo: Can you test my branch i497? I've made pull request #498 with it.
Yeah, it's excellent - it reverses to regular help
Only in my IPython it points to line 483 in oinspect.py, not to 552 - did I miss some update, or this isn't released yet?
Check for .pyd as extension for binary files.
OK, thanks for the info and for fixing problems
I expected that some small updates are announced in mailing list or similar, but I guess I'm just new to all this git thing, thou I can read ;)
Well, we don't announce every change in development, there are just far too many! Have a look at https://github.com/ipython/ipython/commits/master . When it gets released as 0.11, we'll announce it. Hopefully that'll be some time within the next month.
