Welcome to the Community-Fibre-WHW03CFv2 wiki!
This project aims to give owners of the Linksys WHW03CFv2 (Community Fibre) router the ability to flash retail Linksys firmware, which will give them access to additional features that are not available on the Community Fibre firmware that the router comes with. In addition to enabling the flashing of retail firmware, this project also allows users to run OpenWRT as the main firmware on their router. By using this project, users can take advantage of the full capabilities of their router and customize it to suit their needs.
Although it is not absolutely necessary, it is recommended that you have a certain level of computer literacy in order to follow this guide. There may be some steps that may be difficult to understand for those who are not familiar with computers. However, I will do my best to break down the steps and make them as clear as possible. I may also create a video to further demonstrate the process and make it easier for those who may not be as comfortable with computers.
There are some caveats to this project, my personal opinion the biggest being that even with retail firmware flashed using the check update button on the web interface doesn't show/download the latest firmware. To update the firmware you will have to manually flash it which will be covered throughout the documentation. (Refer to images below)

Although the image above shows that it is running the latest firmware which it is, when a new firmware is released by Linksys the router will still show it as running the latest image just like as it is in the image above. The firmware must be manually updated by going onto your web browser and entering: routerip/fwupdate.html. You will be greeted with a dialogue asking for a username and password. The username is admin and the password is the password used to enter the router settings. (Refer to image below)

To flash firmware onto the router after you login you will see another page, this page allows you to browse and select the firmware. You need to enter the password used to login to your router settings again to flash the firmware. (Refer to image below)
