Chats reset when adding students to groups #1530

Describe the bug

After creating groups via the group manager, the integrated group chats get reset when a newly arriving user is assigned to one of the groups.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Create groups via the group manager
Enter messages into at least one of the chats
Log in with another user and assign him to one of the groups
The chats are now all reset

Expected behavior
The messages of the group chats should be preserved.
