Following the specifications described in issue #1, we wrote this library which can be used to send low level commands to a CIE card, without having to install a dedicated software.
This library uses the
pyscard
interface to directly send APDUs and read back the response, and supports the EAC authentication protocol too!There's also a partial implementation of a real-time image recognition software, which can be used to automatically read the MRZ using a webcam, but unfortunately the OCR part is still incomplete.
We also wrote some unit tests to make sure the algorithms and utility functions are working fine.
