Uploading from Mac OSX 10.5.2 to Yahoo ftp server repeatedly fails when uploading a folder hierarchy with 100-200 files and images in 4-6 subfolders.

I have a similar problem. It seems that the format of APPE is invalid:

...
NOOP
200 NOOP ok.
TYPE I
200 Switching to Binary mode.
PASV
227 Entering Passive Mode (10,16,0,2,135,220)
APPE 
553 Could not create file.
QUIT
221 Goodbye.

RFC 959 specifies APPE as:

APPE <SP> <pathname> <CRLF>
