Enabling Distribution results in multiple distributions being created

I was enabling "Distribution" on a bucket, and before I got to the CNAME field it already did something. I then tried to enter the CNAMEs, or pick a default root file, but it didn't stick and then when I went to the AWS console I found out there were multiple distributions created, all "InProgress".

I can replicate the issue. As a workaround wait to change the CNAME until the status shows Deployed.
