This is now resolved:
The problem was in my preferences settings of Sophos Anti-Virus.
In "On-access Scanning" I unchecked: "Inside archives and compressed files"
This fixed the long delay.
My original posting is enclosed below.
I have enjoyed using Cyberduck for several weeks without issues, however; Cyberduck has recently started launching very slowly; only upon the first launch.
Cyberduck icon bounces 85 times in the dock, then stops bouncing, yet Cyberduck is still not launched - about 90 seconds after first clicking the icon to initiate launch, Cyberduck is finally launched.
Subsequent launches take only a few seconds, unless I reboot; then the first Cyberduck launch is delayed again.
Only yesterday, Cyberduck launched quickly every time.
I cleaned all files in the transfer window; no difference.
I updated Java; no difference.
Auto Update is disabled.
There appears to be no issues recorded in Console.
I'm on a MacBook Pro, 8G Ram, Quad-core CPU; seems unlikely my hardware is lacking...
Is there a possibility that Sophos Anit-Virus is causing this?
(All other apps seem to be working normally after the Sophos installation yesterday.)
Thank you for any advice that may resolve this.
