When you drag a file on the ftp window you must do a slalom between folders because Cyberduck automatically tries to open them to show the contents, forgetting that it's not a local folder, but it has to open a connection and to ask for the listing via network, several times slower than a local hard drive.

Could the delay be set by the user?

This issue also relates to the problems raised by the following tickets:

#12142 (defect) Spring loaded folders lock up applications when...

#12047 (enhancement) Preference for not automatically looking into folders (no autoexpanding)

Namely, that sever-client communication causes a spinning beachball when it appears to be mostly chatty and unproductive packet-tossing.

I find that major annoyance.

Disabling autoexpand is a poor workaround :(
I think all network access should be multithreaded.

Sorry, setting a longer delay doesn't work correctly - the drag'n'drop behavior of Cyberduck (2.7.2 on MacOS 10.3.9) doesn't change at all and after restarting the program and opening the preferences window the slider is set back to standard position.

Setting a shorter delay seems to work, but that's not what we need this feature for...

Fixed as of 9a0c342. Will be in the latest nightly build shortly hereafter.
