Hello!

I am a new user. Taking CS50 requires transformation of files between my computer and virtual machine. I have downloaded Cyberduck for Mac OS X 10.7.5. The attempt to connect to the remote sever failed, see screenshot included.

I would be grateful for the help on this issue.

PS just realized that there is only a possibility to flag that I have files to attach; but how to attach it?

There is no FTP server running at that address. Possibly you can connect with SSH to the server. Refer to SFTP connections.
