This is a feature request regarding the main Cyberduck application with the GUI. The work on the cli utility "duck" is excellent, but I think the GUI program needs some more flexibility in its command line interface.

More specifically, it would be fantastic if a quick connection could be opened like this:

Cyberduck.exe [options] protocol://[username]:[password]@hostname:port/remote/path/

Notes:

  • I've added "password" for completeness, the user should be warned about the security risks.
  • There should be an option to prevent the program from saving history.

Adding a note for the future about a command line switch that would be useful if not necessary for the opening of a quick connection from the cli:

  • Switch to not save history. Sometimes it is needed to quickly launch the program from within scripts or the Password Manager itself, so this would enhance privacy.
