Similar issue to ticket #7805 which was reported fixed in 9e1107f.

I want to double click a file (Word, PDF or jpeg) and have it open in the external editor (MS Word, Adobe Reader, Photo Viewer). I have checked "Double click opens file in external editor" in Browser/Preferences but these files open in my default editor (Notepad++). Right click, Edit With, works fine and gives me the external editor but I am just so lazy. Thanks for a great product, am very happy with it!

Make sure to uncheck Always use this application in Preferences.
