realtime analytics using Node.js and HBase
* start HBase (very difficult) * start HBase Thrift server * start Gator (with your own GatorConfig) * send data to Gator!
* HBase stores data via key and columnFamily for every time interval (set via config) * send data to Gator as json-encoded array via udp * Gator communicates to HBase via thrift converts everything into the right key/columns * rewrite gatorConfig and changes happen immediately without restart
* overhaul the frontend server to be more robust * add max and min to data collection * send data to gator through Thrift service? * take care of dropped packets with client side service
