@jadonk hey man, I see you are at oscon, wish I could be there. I had a question regarding getting the weather station sample app going. It looks like I need to pick up a sensor for that right? http://www.adafruit.com/products/391
When I get that, do you have any docs to show which port to plug that in to? Perhaps there is a blogpost or some other instructions somewhere that I am missing?
Cant say enough about this beagle bone project, love hacking on my embedded projects in nodejs! Looking forward to contributing once I've got my bearings in place. Overall great stuff..!
Yeah, that is the right sensor. Please use email@example.com for chatting and reserve this space for Bonescript issues and feature requests. In the oscon-2012 branch, I have a link in that presentation to the "BeagleBone Weather Cape", though the board above would work just fine. I guess I can leave this issue report up until I merge the documentation to hook up the bmp085 with both boards into the bone101 presentation.
Cool I just joined the group, I should have dug a little deeper, I'll chat you up over there :)
See http://beaglebone.local/oscon.html for an example in the lastest version.
I just reread the bug. I need to not just build on the weather station cape, but include documentation for hooking up the BMP085.
@jadonk My BMP085 arrives monday, let me know and I can do some testing with you and ensure the docs are right. Excited to give this a whirl.
@jadonk Going to try and wire up the weather sample this weekend. I found a link to the weather cape, and wanted to verify, it looks like I should waire up to pins 1,3,19,20 on the beagle bone, then run the weather.js app correct?
I can confirm that using the pins I specified above works with the weatherstation code and a BMP085 from adafruit
