What did you do?

  • I opened SQL editor
  • entered when clause with field name

What actually happened?

  • The app crashed

What software versions are you using?

Postico version: 1.5.1 (4088)

macOS version: 10.14.2 (18C54)

PostgreSQL version: PostgreSQL 9.5.14 on x86_64-apple-darwin17.7.0, compiled by Apple LLVM version 9.1.0 (clang-902.0.39.2), 64-bit

1.5.0 worked (and works now after reverting to it) fine.

Ohhh this is bad. It looks like an off-by-one error in the code that validates the history buttons...

Thanks for reporting this. I removed the 1.5.1 update from the eggerapps.at website.

Now the really bad part: I submitted 1.5.1 to the App Store yesterday (it has a few bugfixes), but now I can't change it until Dec 28 because of Apple's holiday shutdown.

PS: I deleted the comment with the crash report to make this thread more readable. Thanks for providing it!

Ah, I updated it from the App Store yesterday.

But now it looks I should use DataGrip instead in these days.

Here's a build that should work again. Please let me know if it works!

postico-4089.zip

If everything goes well, this build should be released either tomorrow or the day after.

If you bought Postico on the Mac App Store and need a license file, please email me!

Just to add to the fix confirmation really quick. I have the App Store version (1.5.1) installed which crashes every time I hit delete to backspace. Just tested the above build without a license and it works fine.

Short update for everyone waiting for a fix: I've submitted Postico 1.5.2 to Apple about 12 hours ago (as soon as possible after the holiday shutdown).

Usually they approve updates within a couple of hours, but I assume that they have some backlog to work through after the holidays. I hope they approve it soon.

My apologies to everyone affected by this. I will never again publish an update so shortly before the holiday shutdown.
