Currently the upload transactions of examples with the hapi-cli uploader fails due to missing referenced resources. As the example resources references doesn't have to resolve (https://chat.fhir.org/#narrow/stream/implementers/subject/FHIR.20Examples.20packages.20currently.20malformed.3F) this problem can occur at any time.

As the transaction errors are spread in the log and are easy to overlook maybe a warning at the end of the uploading process should be included.

This appears to still be an issue. What is the best way to get some example data uploaded to a fresh HAPI FHIR server?

@hansenms the examples zip ist still "broken" so you can't use them with hapi-cli example uploader.
So we either can create our own cleared examples based on the examples zip or hope this will be fixed in the original examples zip.

An alternative to get some resources populated would be:
https://projectcrucible.org/testdata

@grahamegrieve any chance that we can get this fixed on the hl7.org side for STU3? If i clear/fix the examples would it be possible to update it on the hl7.org page?

bump any news on this? I keep getting this exception with 3.4.0 and older versions :

java.lang.ClassCastException: org.hl7.fhir.r4.model.CanonicalType cannot be cast to org.hl7.fhir.r4.model.Reference

Thanks!
