The branch "optflow" was an idea where we had not really time for... We planned some multicopter optical flow sensor (a mouse sensor with an optic in front of it) to use to orientate on the ceiling in case there are some light sources. This would only have been an assisting system, one could not have relied on this, but better than nothing.
