if I have
events: "click .button" : "doButton"
but forget to define button then the error message is
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'bind' of undefined
After being caught by this a number of times I now know what to look for but newbies will get stumped by it. I suggest either
(a) bound methods have a default no-op response (b) an error message such as "doButton is not defined on class but is referenced in events"
