I'm sorry, but the existence of a global define variable isn't part of too many useful JS runtimes that I'm aware of. If such a thing were implemented in Node and in the browser, it would be great to have.

Actually, the define function specified by the asynchronous module definition spec isn't part of any particular runtime; rather, it's used by asynchronous script loaders, such as RequireJS and curl.js.
