The fields portion of SELECT queries is normally masked (presumably as a space saver), e.g.,

SELECT ... FROM

My suggestion would be to unmask the fields portion when the query is simply a .count() or .exists() query, e.g.,

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM

SELECT (1) AS

Both of these are small, and easy to grok when scanning through a page's queries, and it's helpful to note when they're being used, as opposed to seeing SELECT ... FROM for a given table 2 times, and having to click to make sure you're not running the same query twice.
