Folie 2.9

@jcw jcw released this Jan 15, 2017 · 1 commit to master since this release

Main changes from 2.8 to 2.9:

  • updated embedded firmware images
These firmware images are built-in:
  1: F103-BMP 50096b crc:F87A
  2: F103-Blink 724b crc:4967
  3: F103-Mecrisp 20500b crc:80FD
  4: F103-SerPlus 7052b crc:7DD0
  5: L052-Blink 568b crc:311E
  6: L052-Mecrisp 20500b crc:B5A8
Use '!u <n>' to upload a specific one.

Note: these binaries must be uncompressed and renamed to folie (folie.exe on Windows).
On non-Windows platforms, you may also need to chmod +x folie to be able to launch the file.

Folie has no dependencies on DLLs, shared libraries, or any other files. None. Zilch. Nada.

Folie 2.5

@jcw jcw released this Nov 26, 2016 · 32 commits to master since this release

Main changes from 2.4 to 2.5:

  • now defaults to the telnet protocol, use -r for the original "raw" mode
  • new DTR/RTS modem control in raw mode (reset via DTR works, uploading still has issues)
  • hitting ctrl-C is the same as entering the !reset command
  • many tweaks, some changes to work on Linux, but this is not finished
  • updated embedded firmware images
  • if lines start with ( .. ), output will be shown after this comment, not the entire source line
  • re-open logic after connection loss improved, duplicate open errors are not shown

Note: these binaries must be uncompressed and renamed to folie (folie.exe on Windows).
On non-Windows platforms, you may also need to chmod +x folie to be able to launch the file.

Main changes from 2.3 to 2.4:

  • no longer hangs on some USB serial boards when CTS is not connected
  • implement !u <url> to download using a firmware image from some server

  • allow TCP-based connections w/ -p example.com:4000, assuming ser2net on port 4000
  • add -t cmdline flag to use the telnet-protocol for DTR, RTS, and parity control
  • add !reset to reset the attached board (only works in telnet mode)
