Example of how to populate the basic SEO related HTML tags using an I18n locale file for tag contents.

Install

See the blog post for more detailed instructions:

(1) Create the I18n locale file config/locales/en.header_text.yml

(2) Add methods in new helper file: app/helpers/set_seo_tags_helper.rb:

(3) Add yield_or_default() method calls to the <head> section of your layout.

(4) Update views as needed.

(5) Empower the editors, brand marketers, translators, etc to update the YAML file without needing to queue up for a programmer's time.
