I did this awhile back, but forgot to see if you wanted it. I pulled some data from MT that wasn't being pulled and added it to the front-matter, most notably the original date of the post (so that imported posts from the same day are ordered correctly in the Jekyll site). I also had MT posts in several formats and added support for those.
