Lock this element to avoid Future changes" checkbox bug

Describe the bug
"Lock this element to avoid Future changes" checkbox in edit labels is checked. Some time later checkbox unchecks by itself and metadata is changed again.

System (please complete the following information):

• OS: Ubuntu
• Virtualization: Docker
• Clients: Every clients
• Browser: Every browsers
• Jellyfin Version: 10.7.5
• Playback: [Direct Play, Remux, Direct Stream, Transcode]
• Installed Plugins: the tvdb
• Reverse Proxy: traefik
• Base URL: IP address
• Networking: Host and client
• Storage: HDD

To Reproduce

1. Go to 'Edit labels' for one element( serie, movie)
2. Click on 'Lock this element for avoid Future changes'
3. Restart Server or wait for auto metadata refreshing
4. See error

Expected behavior
After identified the serie or movie from IMDb or tvdb, metadata is fixed and "Lock element box" is checked and not changed after that.

This happens to me on Jellyfin 10.8.9 on Docker Desktop for Mac 4.17.0 on Mac Mini with M1 chip.

I change metadata for seasons (title, season number), select "Lock this element to avoid future changes," click save, refresh, check it again, and it's fine. Then 20 minutes later I look and all the metadata I entered is gone.

These seasons are separated into season folders if that makes any difference.

I ended up just changing the metadata in their respective NFO files, using these guidelines. For most of the files, the metadata saved and locked. For the ones that didn't save, I edited and locked the metadata through the "Edit Metadata" feature and it worked. None of my metadata has changed so far.

Also having this issue. Tried to manually edit the NFO files as per @nothing2obvi's suggestion but even with adding the locked flag to each file (both in jellyfin and manually), each one either removed the flag (if it were applied to a season) or outright ignored it (if it were applied to an individual episode). In the latter case, the flag was not removed from the NFO file but was not honored at all.

@bigbeau: Damn that sucks. Sorry it didn't work for you. All my metadata is still correctly edited and locked.

I think the only temporary workaround right now, at least for me, might be to mark the files as read only after editing them so jellyfin can't overwrite them.

Unfortunately, with the way I have my media drives mounted on my server, I can't do that either.

I also wonder if disabling metadata providers might be, while not great, another workaround to this

Can confirm this is happening for me as well on 10.8.10 Linux x64. Super frustrating to find out after I had to manually set all the season numbers for each of my shows only for next scan to wipe out all of that info :/
