Describe the bug
From initial system setup I see that CCU calculate incorrect current time for Estonia (on hour back to current time). After setting correct time (by import from PC), it goes back to same problem after (probably next sync with NTP server)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. create same setup as outlined here
  2. Time should have 1 hour difference with time in Germany (+1)

Expected behavior
More respectful handling of other timezones ;)

System information (please complete the following information):

  • CCU3 with firmware 3.41.7

Please see if removing the "TZ" Env variable in /etc/lighttpd/conf.d/setenv.conf solves this issue.

There is no such path /etc/lighttpd/ :(
But found strange behavior accessing /usr/local/etc/config/localtime/
FTP client returning:
Error: Directory /usr/share/zoneinfo/posix/EET: no such file or directory
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

@SergeiS07 Of course there is the file etc/lighttpd/conf.d/setenv.conf in the filesystem of your CCU. See here:

# ll /etc/lighttpd/conf.d/setenv.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 78 Oct 25 16:35 /etc/lighttpd/conf.d/setenv.conf

Now go and edit that file and remove the line with the TZ, then reboot and test.

@SergeiS07 I was just able to reproduce your problem here in my own installation. I also could verify that removing the "TZ" variable in setenv.conf solves the problem of the Time/Date dialog. Please note however:

  1. This is a CCU3 problem only and RaspberryMatic is not affected.
  2. The actual time on the CCU3 is correct. It is just the time/date dialog that shows an incorrect time. The Time display on the main WebUI page still shows the correct time.

As this is a foreign issue which RaspberryMatic is not affected, I will close it. However, I have notified eQ3 on the issue so that the issue will be hopefully solved in one of the upcoming CCU3 firmware updates.
