jForest is a general framework for Machine Learning. It implements tree ensemble based classification methods. It is designed to be very modular and allows easy tuning and modification of the tree induction, classification criterion and feature importance index.
from the R package
Download the jForest package. Then run the following line in a shell
R CMD INSTALL jForest_1.0.1.tar.gz
You only need the rJava library to be installed and configured.
You might have to run
R CMD javareconf.
The java class files were compiled with java version 1.7.0_25.
Clone this repository and run
./makeRPackage.sh R CMD INSTALL jForest_1.0.1.tar.gz
Test it !
A few examples are provided with the R package. You can run them from a R session with the following instructions:
library("jForest") example(jForest) example(predict.jForest) example(importance)
