Hello,
I've greatly enjoyed digging into Flask-Restless, and the documentation seems really good. However, it's not clear how to use custom queries. Normally I would ask on SO, but there is already an unanswered question asking for an example of custom queries.

Would it be possible to expand the section on custom queries to make clear how they might be invoked? I suspect it's something straightforward, just undocumented. If you reply here with the gist of how it's done, I'm happy to update the docs and make a pull request.

After looking at one of the tests, it seems that a custom query is always performed (if available).

I have added the missing documentation; see the above commit. Let me know if it makes sense. (It should appear on the documentation site, https://flask-restless.readthedocs.org/, soon.)

That looks great--thanks so much for such a fast response (and wonderful flask extension :)!
