When running pandoc with bibliography (in JSON format) which contains a title with apostrophes in them, it converts it to double quotes.

For example if I have:

"title" : "Fibonacci's Liber Abaci : A Translation into Modern English of Leonardo Pisano's Book of Calculation.",

I get the following in my epub bibliography (the double quotes are curly in the document):

Sigler, L. E. Fibonacci"s Liber Abaci : A Translation into Modern English of Leonardo Pisano"S Book of Calculation. New York: Springer-Verlag, 2002. Print.

Please supply a test case: a simple complete bib file and command
that will allow us to reproduce the problem.

this is not a pandoc issue but a bug in citeproc-hs' way of treating quotation flipflopping. It should be fixed in citeproc-hs darcs repository.

This is fixed in the now released citeproc-hs 0.3.5. If you compiled pandoc using cabal, you can reinstall citeproc-hs (cabal update && cabal install --reinstall citeproc-hs), then reinstall pandoc. Otherwise, wait for the next pandoc release.
