Setup

  • install rvm
  • install rvm-version of .rvmrc

Twitter Authentication

You need Twitter App credentials in order to have a working login.
See config/initializers/omniauth.rb for details. In your Twitter App settings, make sure to have specified a callback URL.

Running

gem install bundler

bundle --without=production (If not on OSX, comment out “gem ‘growl_notify’”)

rake db:migrate

foreman start

Deploying on Heroku

set up Heroku (gem install, public key, etc.)

heroku apps:create appname --stack cedar

heroku config:add SECRET_TOKEN=YOURSECRETTOKEN

heroku config:add TWITTER_CONSUMER_KEY=YOURKEY

heroku config:add TWITTER_CONSUMER_SECRET=YOURSECRET

git push heroku master
