Currently, if you write a boolean type it falls under the numeric type and writes it as either a '1' or a '0'.

Perhaps a boolean should be explicitly checked for and written as either "TRUE" or "FALSE"

from xlsxwriter import Workbook

wb = Workbook("test.xlsx")
ws = wb.add_worksheet("My Worksheet")
ws.write("A1", True)

wb.close()

Hi Andrew,

That's a good suggestion, I'll add it in the next release.

There is a boolean type in Excel so it can be mapped to that rather than a string.

Regard,

John

Hi John,

Works fine using both write() and write_boolean(), thanks!

Cheers,
Andrew.
