I find a bug , when i use the Chart class, like this

chart.set_title({'name': title})

if have "!" in title variable ,that will throw Exception, for example

chart.set_title({'name': u"bug!"}) # throw KeyError: u'but'

If i use Chinese language,that throw another Exception

File "C:\Python27\lib\warnings.py", line 38, in formatwarning
s = "%s:%s: %s: %s\n" % (filename, lineno, category.name, message)
UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode characters in position 29-30: ordinal not in range(128)

I don't know why, but i solved it ,i just use title.replace("!",:"!")

Hi @keithsun80

That is a bug. The set_title() method also accepts range references like Name!A1 and it is incorrectly parsing the ! as a separator.

I'll fix it in the next release.

Thanks,

John
