Maintenance Status

Hey @johannhof, I'm just wondering what the maintenance status is of this crate? I just stumbled over a panic writing an ordered list and found that #26 has been open for a while with no updates.

Should folks prefer using a different crate (maybe pulldown-cmark as you mentioned in #25)? If so, it might be a good idea to add the unmaintained marker for this crate in RustSec and/or a note to the README in this repo.

Hi @johannhof would you be interested on handing over the maintenance of the crate to someone or alternatively commit to security fixes and dependency patches - no active maintenance needed but just concern around supply chain PoV

If you prefer just to deprecate this then please let us know and we can mark it as so people will try to look for an alternative.
