The about.html on this fork contains a link to https://github.com/diveintomark/diveintohtml5/issues.

This is utterly confusing, as bug reports for this fork end up at the GitHub tracker of a different fork. Someone else and I just found out when we created a small report on a typo in this fork, which is not in the other fork.

Please either point to your own fork, or -much better- work together (either by sending each other pull requests, or using a shared repository, as described at http://help.github.com/send-pull-requests/).

Let's make the official repo diveintomark/diveintohtml5. I'll be happy to make any other fork maintainers collabs on the repo.

I'd like that if I can collab. Thanks for doing the merge, @kennethreitz are you running the diveintomark repo?

Also, we could move the fork to h5bp too to give it added life and collaborators, but what do you think about that @paulirish?

Either way, I intended to continue working on this project, and I agree that limiting the forks might be a happy thing. :D

kenneth i think it would make the most sense to run the diveintomark account as a github organization

i would suggest upgrading it to that.

then we can merge todays' PR over.. and then we'll be great!

Yea if you do that I will setup a cronjob for diveinto.org and diveintohtml5.info to pull from that. Yay!

We've just begun merging the canonical diveintohtml5 repo with the effort at diveintohtml5.info

https://github.com/diveintomark is now a github organization so administering it is easy.

and we've synched up the two git repos so we've got the latest changes.
and kenneth is redirecting the .ep.io domains to head to the .info which has a cron job to make sure its up to date with the repo.

can we also bring the html5doctor repo into the fold here?

first step is bringing the repos up to date and getting the hosted version to represent the consolidated repo.

cheers

And at some appropriate time soon we will want to shut down this fork too, right?

@paulirish yeah that could work for us too, although we’d need to work out a new setup. Currently we’re just running off GH-Pages with CNAME, and moving to a single canonical repo rules that out. Will have a chat with @richclark about it…
