Xcode4Customization

Xcode4Customization uses uncrustify https://github.com/bengardner/uncrustify to reformat the code snippets included within Xcode 4 so that they follow your coding style.

Quick Start

Install uncrustify.

Backup the files in: ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/UserData/CodeSnippets /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/PlugIns/IDECodeSnippetLibrary.ideplugin/Contents/Resources/SystemCodeSnippets.codesnippets

Optionally copy the file at /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/PlugIns/IDECodeSnippetLibrary.ideplugin/Contents/Resources/SystemCodeSnippets.codesnippets to ./snippets/SystemCodeSnippets.codesnippets to get the latest Xcode code snippets.

In the root directory of this project run ./convertSnippets.py ./snippets ./uncrustifyTemplates/sbi.cfg You can also supply your own uncrustify template here.

This will parse the snippets file included in the snippets directory, export the code for each snippet therein into a temporary file, run uncrustify with the Sounds Broken inc uncrustify template, reimport the code into each snippet, and export each snippet into its own snippet file.

Once the script finishes, each .codesnippet file in the snippets/pythonOut directory can then be copied into ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/UserData/CodeSnippets

If you then want to remove the default "from the factory" snippets, go ahead and replace /Developer/Library/Xcode/PrivatePlugIns/IDECodeSnippetLibrary.ideplugin/Contents/Resources/SystemCodeSnippets.codesnippets with an empty file. WARNING: deleting this file without replacing it with an empty file will likely crash Xcode on startup.

See install.sh in the root directory. It performs the above.
