The current 4.0-dev branch throws a fatal error when executing the front- and backend. This is due to this duplicate code. With this removed, the application works again.

Trying to redo a branch merge after someone squash & merged the first one is such a pain...

FYI: You still can't login to the backend. I got that fixed locally, but I'm pretty sure I did it wrong...

I'll have to look more when I'm not in a time crunch. Which honestly is never, but maybe less busy than now.
