OS X 10.7.4 again not recognizing xcode? #25
I have the solution now. The problem was that xcode did not automatically install gcc - I had to go into the Preferences -> Downloads section and manually download command line tools. Then the script worked fine. Can I suggest adding some directions to that effect ("Please make sure GCC is installed. Note that xcode does not automatically do this, but you may have to go to the Preferences menu and install command line tools manually"). That would help solve the error.
