Adding the border fixes a bug in Firefox where the border (and thus page flow) would change by 2px depending on whether whether it was focused or not.

The changes are self explanatory, though it is worth mentioning that adding the border fixes a bug where in Firefox the border (and thus page flow) changes by 2px depending on whether whether the is focused or not. ---Alex
