This bookmarklet strips the EZproxy from links on a Libguides A-Z database list
Our campus was experiencing authentication issues. This resulted in our EZproxy server being slow. Access on campus would go through the EZproxy server. In order to bypass the EZproxy server without making any changes to the A-Z database list in libguides or and changes to the EZproxy Config file. This bookmarklet was created.
Method 1
import the HTML file EZproxy.A-Z.List.Bookmarklet.html into your browser's bookmarks or favorites.
Method 2.
Create a new bookmark or favorite called EZproxy A-Z List Bookmarklet.
Edit the URL, copy/paste the entire code from the EZproxy.A-Z.List.Bookmarklet.js
- Edit the bookmark URL
- Replace the follow EZproxy URL with your institution EZproxy URL http://ezproxy.oswego.edu:2048/login?url=
After the A-Z list is loaded, click on the new bookmark.
The EZproxy URL should be stripped from the links on the page.
To reset the page, just refresh the page.
