Horizontal swiping appears to be broken now in Android 4.4.2. The swipe navigation demo (http://view.jquerymobile.com/1.3.2/dist/demos/examples/swipe/newyork.html) no longer works consistently for me. I can get it to swipe maybe one time in four on Android 4.4.2. It works flawlessly for me in browser and on IOS.

This is actually better than some other libraries. Zepto has the same issue (madrobby/zepto#823), but I can never get it to fire a swipe at all. Quo has the same issue (soyjavi/QuoJS#101) and it never fires a swipe either.

One possible solution mentioned here: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=19827
