Go to with Chrome to http://demos.jquerymobile.com/1.4.3/ - press mouseleft click and move to the right window side. The page starts scrolling without horizontal scrollbar visible. So some overflow hidden style not working or something like this?

It happens as you highlight text. The document is indeed wider than the viewport, but there's no horizontal scrollbar.

I could reproduce it on Chrome and Safari, not on Firefox, so it seems to be a WebKit-only problem.
The extra space at the right side has the width of the right search panel, hower it is caused by our CSS to make the navmenu in the left panel always visible on wider screens. On a narrow screen where the panel is hidden you can't reproduce this issue.
So it's only a bug in our demos, not panels in general (test page: http://jsbin.com/sekujuqa/13).

I will look into it, but I am going to change the milestone to 1.5. I consider it a low priority bug and changes in panel CSS are always tricky so it's better if it lives on master for a while to see if we didn't introduce a new problem with it.
