README

This is just a little web.py webapp I made for my wife's family's annual Secret Santa Christmas Stocking Extravaganza.

You type in a word, and it gets related words using a thesaurus API, and matches them to words in recent Tweets from some famous people of questionable intelligence. It returns the most recent tweet that matches the best. It's not a very smart match, and I'm unlikely to work on this after 12/25/2010, but it has been a fun learning experience. Web.py is awesome.

You'll need to rename settings_py_sample.txt to settings.py, and follow the directions contained in the file. You'll also need to figure out how to serve the css file - how you do it will depend on your server, but it shouldn't be complicated.
