@jrw-git jrw-git released this Feb 17, 2016 · 2 commits to master since this release

This is the first stand-alone release of the Cataclysm Transfer Utility for copying vehicles and characters between worlds. You can also back up worlds themselves, and save vehicles to file/load vehicles from file.

The executable is all that's required for windows users. Non-windows users are best off downloading Ruby and running the script directly with "ruby cataclysm_utility.rb"

Unzip or place in the Cataclysm directory. Advanced users may want to place it in a directory above or next to the cataclysm directory for maximum compatibility with the game launcher.

There are a few steps you need to do beforehand:
First: BACK UP ANY WORLD (through this utility) BEFORE MAKING CHANGES

To copy a character, there must first be an existing character in the world you wish to copy to.
This gives us a safe location for your character to arrive at. The existing character is not overwritten.

To copy a vehicle, give it a unique name (within the world) such as "SuperRV". In the destination
world, find or create a vehicle and give it a unique name as well such as "MyTarget".
This vehicle IS OVERWRITTEN.

This is a text based tool. There is no graphical interface.
