Some variants of the font Fira Mono don't show & and | properly.

While the Fira Mono from Fontsquirrel seems to support the characters, the version downloaded from Google Fonts does not.

If you're using the Fira Mono from Google fonts, this fiddle should demonstrate the bug.

I suggest removing Fira Mono from the font-family, making the second in line (Monaco) the default.

Firefox 47.x here on Ubuntu 12.04 seems to be rendering just fine, but I see that the font is no longer in use.. ahwell..

firefox_font_rendering

Assuming you still have the font loaded, I changed the style and saw it change.. and it still renders quite nicely actually:

firefox_font_rendering2

I assume the correct font is no longer loaded and that my browser is using a completely different font instead, or could it be that it was actually fixed in the latest Firefox?
