I know vi and have my our customize configuration, and I'm learning emacs. I have customized configurations for my terminal which allow me to automate several of the common developing tasks. I'm a fan of efficiency and automation. % I like to learn different things. I'm open to change, and in fact, like to try different things. I believe seeing and trying different things expand the way one thinks about eveything. % Recently I'm been developing a lot of Java and Javascript. % I'm a fast learner. % Fluent in Portuguese and English. Eager to learn new languages. \section{EXPERIENCE} CONSULTANT DEVELOPER \\ Thoughtworks Brazil \\ January 2011 - June 2012 % Company info %Thoughtworks is a global consultancy that focuses on incremental, high quality software delivery. %It achieves that by using up-to-date technologies that deliver value quickly. %Thoughtworks is a strong supporter of continuous delivery, devops and agile practices. %It also strives to be transparent and to have a positive social impact. % Role and responsabilities I was part of a team that developed the website for a major US clothes retailer, along with all the backend systems. %I helped design three different parts: daily store inventory replenishments, store information manager and a merchandise locator by geographical proximity. It consisted mainly of web development with Java and Javascript, Spring, JUnit, jMock, iBATIS, Prototype, Scriptaculous and others. Other accomplishments: % Key accomplishments \vspace{0.2in} \begin{itemize} \itemsep -2pt % reduce space between items \item I was part of an effort to integrate Javascript unit tests into the quick builds. This change improved the feedback cycle for the javascript code from hours to minutes. It also started a movement to have well tested, organized UI code in all projects. We used JUnit, htmlunit, unittestjs and Ant. \item Developed a build monitor in my spare time to learn Ruby and Javascript. It ended up replacing the previous solution and incentivating the culture of looking into builds. The client installed about 15 screens around their office to follow the builds. \item I also contributed several times to the development infrastructure. I helped develop and was the maintainer of the off shore development environment. I also introduced an ivy artifactory and set up the DNS configuration for our site to site VPN. All of these innitiatives improved the development speed and team motivation. \end{itemize} INTERN PROGRAMMER \\ Construtora Sucesso \\ August 2007 – January 2008 I was responsible for a team of developers that started developing an integration and security system that would serve as basis for the company’s new system. %I worked mainly with Java and JSP in an agile environment.
